Every January at The Cookie, we present a fast-paced mixed bill, bursting with as many local acts as we can cram in, each of them performing short teasers for their upcoming festival shows. It's the ideal way to discover great new shows to see at the upcoming festival, and has sold out three years in a row, so book early! This year's Preview Show will be hosted by 'Funny Women' finalist Sarah Keyworth.

Battle for Leicester
Four of Leicester's regular comedy nights go head-to-head in a stand-up challenge to decide whose is the funniest night in town. The winner receives the unique trophy, made from the rubble of Leicester's demolished Welford Place offices. This year, defending champions Proper Funny host the event on their home turf (The Criterion) against challengers Club Smashing, Comedy & Cocktails and Canteen Comedy. “Showed the breadth of talent there is in Leicester’s thriving comedy scene” - Leicester Mercury.

Naked Comedy (in aid of MIND)
A total sell-out show last year, and winner of the Liberty Award for embodying the spirit of the festival. Male and female comedians face their biggest fear and perform totally starkers for charity. This year's charity is MIND for better mental health, so as well as seeing some pretty eyewatering sights, you'll be helping a great charity. Not for the feint-hearted! Advance tickets only, no door sales.

A Question of Snort
The pub quiz with a difference, in which teams get points for funny answers as well as correct ones. A team of comedians is also on hand to provide extra silliness. Standard pub quiz rules apply - no tickets required, just turn up on the day and chuck in a quid per team member to take part!
